Fortney Manufacturing LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operating as The Shooters Hub, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information in connection with our web platform, APIs, plugins, forums, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
At a glance
- No data sales: Your personal details are shared only with clubs, processors, or authorities when it is required to deliver the services you choose.
- Trusted infrastructure: We rely on Google Firebase, Firestore, and vetted payment partners so card numbers stay with the processor—not on Shooters Hub servers.
- You stay in control: Location access, marketing preferences, and account deletion requests can be managed at any time by contacting the team.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email, shooter details (such as class or division), and preferences.
- Match & Club Data: Registrations, participation records, scores, fees, and schedules tied to your account.
- Community Content: Forum posts, swap meet listings, messages, and uploads you choose to share.
- Location Data: If you grant permission through your browser or device, we may collect approximate location automatically to improve match and club search results. You may also provide an optional home address for more accurate location-based features and drive-time calculations. Your home address remains private and is not shared publicly.
- Technical Data: Log data, IP addresses, device/browser info, cookies, and interaction data for security and performance.
- Payment Information:
- Match/Club Payments (Direct): Payments for match entry fees, club memberships, or related items may be processed directly by clubs or match directors. In these cases, we do not handle card details for these transactions.
- Match/Club Payments (Facilitated by Shooters Hub): If we offer integrated processing (e.g., via Stripe or a similar provider), we may collect limited payer and transaction details (name, email, billing address, last-4, tokenized payment identifiers) to route funds to the club or match director. Full card numbers are handled by the payment processor, not by us. Relevant transaction information may be shared with the club/match director and the processor for settlement, refunds, chargebacks, reconciliation, and tax/reporting where applicable.
- Shooters Hub Payments: If you make donations, purchase a supporter tier/subscription, or process sponsorship payments through us, we collect necessary billing details (such as name, email, billing address, and limited payment information) via trusted third-party processors. We do not store full card numbers. We may store subscription status, renewal dates, and transaction history for account administration.

3. Youth Privacy
The Shooters Hub is not intended for direct use by individuals under 18. Youth participation occurs only via a parent/guardian-managed account. We do not knowingly collect data directly from minors.
If you believe a minor has created an account without parental oversight, contact us at contact@fortneyengineering.com. We will investigate and delete the account if appropriate.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We only share information with:
- Clubs or match directors—when you register for their matches or where we facilitate payments on their behalf.
- Payment processors and financial partners (e.g., Stripe) to process transactions, prevent fraud, manage refunds/ chargebacks, comply with payment network rules, and fulfill reconciliation and reporting obligations (including tax reporting where applicable).
- Service providers (such as Google Firebase, Firestore, hosting, analytics, email, and monitoring) under contractual safeguards.
- Community visibility—content you post (forums, leaderboards, swap meet) is visible to others by design.
- Public APIs—certain information (such as usernames, scores, match results, or club data) may be published through our public APIs for use in features like external club leaderboards or match pages. By participating in public matches or posting content, you consent to this limited sharing.
- Legal authorities—if required by law or to protect safety and integrity of the Services.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, remember preferences, and improve performance. Analytics cookies may also be used to understand usage trends. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.
6. Location Controls
You can control location collection through your browser or device settings at any time. If you revoke permission, we will stop collecting device/browser location and certain features (like nearby matches or drive-time estimates) may be limited. Your optional home address can be edited or removed from your profile; it is used only to provide location-based features and is not shared publicly.
7. Data Security
We rely on industry-standard security provided by our infrastructure partners, including Google Firebase and Firestore, as well as trusted third-party payment processors. While we implement reasonable access controls and monitoring, no method is 100% secure. Users should maintain strong passwords and report any suspected unauthorized access.
8. Data Retention
We retain data while your account is active and as needed for operational, legal, or safety purposes (e.g., preserving match records, transaction records for accounting or tax purposes). You may request deletion unless retention is required by clubs, ongoing records, or legal obligations. Certain obligations, such as financial recordkeeping and legal compliance, may survive account deletion.

You may contact us to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Update or correct your information.
- Request deletion of your account (subject to Section 8 above).
- Request portability of your data where technically feasible.

If you are located in the EU, UK, or another region with data protection laws, you may have additional rights under GDPR or similar laws, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection. 14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide notice. Continued use of the Services after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
